“From the first moment we met I was reassured by Chris’s organised and professional manner. He thoroughly determined each of my dog’s individual needs and incorporated some much-needed refresher training for recall and lead walking into their walks.”

Training walks are a great way to:
- Provide you with help and support, especially if your dog is nervous
- Embellish on-going training sessions with me
- Refresh some previous training, on walks
- Start work from fresh on a specific issue you would like addressed
- Have your dog walked safely by a fully-insured professional, qualified in Canine First Aid, and mindful of their needs
I only undertake on-lead and solo walks in a training capacity, although if you have more than one dog, this can be considered.
Training walks are offered on an occasional or package basis, and are basically a good hour-long walk for your dog with me alone, on their usual route or close to their point of pick-up, with some training reinforcement added.

This essentially works out as 75% walk, 25% training while on the walk. It is not an hour of training, nor does it replace a training session.

the walk
As a dog trainer you can be assured that I am mindful of dog behaviour – yours and others – at all times. Because as long as we are safe, we can get on with having a good time! All of my walks are 100% focused on care and safety first, mental stimulation, emotional enrichment and of course exercise! Your dog is returned home clean (as can be reasonably expected!), content and well-exercised.

the training aspect
We can either add these in or use as back-up to on-going or previously completed training, or start from new. To start from new:
- We would begin with a free, no-obligation visit and a brief walk together so I can learn about your dog walk generally, the current level of training, and assess whether I can be of benefit to you.
- We would agree a priority to focus on, commonly lead walking or Recall, but it can be other things too. The Training Walks are designed to either reinforce an existing level of knowledge, or start work gently on a new, minor issue. Please note Training Walks are not suitable for reactive or aggressive dogs that I have not worked with before.
- I may or may not then suggest one initial training session with me first, depending on the situation.
- We book in the training walks!
All Training Walks are offered on an occasional ad-hoc basis, or can be purchased as a package (commonly four) which can be booked together, normally on a weekly basis, our diaries permitting!
